We are angry, heartbroken and still in shock.
Last week ended in darkness as women were stripped of their rights and bodily autonomy. And here in Arizona, most abortion services have already been suspended due to concerns and uncertainty about existing state law that criminalizes this health care decision.
We must start this week ready for the fight ahead.
The path forward to protect Arizona women, and all groups whose rights now hang in the balance, is to lead at the legislature. We must not only flip the state House, but also only elect those who will work to reinstate and protect our rights without question or hesitation.
I am the only incumbent in the LD5 primary to have the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona.
I will continue to be a strong, bold and productive voice for all of us. That is my promise.
But my re-election, in the crowded LD5 race, will not be easy. I need your help.
Voting starts next month, and we urgently need your help. Every additional dollar helps us reach more voters.
Together, we are strong. We must check on each other during these times and channel our pain into action.
