As a woman and as a mother, the past few days have not been easy. But after the initial wave of sadness and anger, my overwhelming emotion is determination. Determination to send a pro-choice woman like Jamie Cheney to Congress.

The stakes could not be higher. Amidst this travesty, we’re running against Marc Molinaro in November, an anti-choice politician who:

• Voted multiple times against legalizing gay marriage.
• Voted against unshackling women in jail as they gave birth.
• Opposed New York's Reproductive Health Act, which was designed to protect the rights of women in case the Supreme Court ruled as it did Friday.  

Now we have just 3 days before filing our very first campaign finance report with the FEC. I can tell you from experience this is the single most important deadline of the year. 

If we do not double our amount of donors in the next 3 days, we will not have the money necessary to spread Jamie's winning message across the district.
