John,
Our public lands are in crisis.
Earlier this month, severe flood waters raged through the iconic Yellowstone National Park, changing the course of rivers, tearing out bridges, pouring through homes, and forcing the evacuation of thousands of visitors. While we can’t lay all the blame for the flooding on climate change, researchers say parks like Yellowstone will experience more damage like this due to the warming climate.
It’s not just flooding, though. Researchers say they also expect to see an increase in fires, dying forests, invasive plants, and shallower, warmer waterways in Yellowstone over the next few decades.
We need leaders who will fight to protect our public lands from worsening climate disasters. That’s why it’s critical we support our SEEC Members working to combat climate change in Washington. Can you donate to help keep them in Congress so they can continue to advocate for our public lands? [[link removed]]

Yellowstone is one of our oldest national parks, but it is not the only one suffering the consequences of a warming planet.
Glaciers in Montana’s Glacier National Park are melting.
Cacti in Arizona’s Saguaro National Park are dying from the heat.
1.3 million Joshua Trees in Mojave National Preserve were killed by a wildfire in 2020.
According to the director of the climate change program at the National Parks Conservation Association, "every single one of our more than 400 national parks are suffering” due to climate change.
John, we cannot allow our national treasures to die out because we refused to take action. We need strong pro-environment legislators in Congress to stand up for our public lands before it’s too late. Can you make a contribution to support our SEEC Members as they fight to save our national parks? [[link removed]]

Thanks to your help in 2020, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 117th Congress while we undo the damage of the Trump Administration.
