JOHN,

In a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in before our crucial FEC end-of-quarter deadline, but first, I want to let you know why it's never been more critical to keep RI-02 blue and defend our Democratic House majority.

The last few months have proven just how much is at stake this November. From gun safety legislation to reproductive rights – the issues we care about the most are on the ballot – and Rhode Islanders are demanding action. The stakes are especially high now that the Supreme Court has both overturned Roe v. Wade AND common sense gun reforms.

As Treasurer, I worked to pass the Reproductive Privacy Act, which codified Roe into Rhode Island law. And I support the Equal Access to Abortion Act because a women’s right to reproductive healthcare should not depend on what type of health insurance she has.

In Congress, I will fight to ensure reproductive rights are protected for all by passing the Women's Health Protection Act to codify Roe into federal law nationwide.

While Rhode Islanders are demanding access to end gun violence, I've fought tirelessly for gun reform here in Rhode Island.

As State Treasurer, I divested the state’s pension from companies that make assault weapons for civilian purchase, and I've been working to restrict sales and purchases of firearm kits, components, and accessories used to assemble undetectable "ghost guns."

In Congress, I'll continue fighting to end gun violence by supporting common-sense legislation like universal background checks, a ban on assault weapons, and red flag laws.

My Republican opponent, Allan Fung, on the other hand, has a different record. Fung said he opposed codifying Roe v. Wade in Rhode Island and was endorsed by RI Right to Life, a group that wants to make abortion illegal. Fung also received an A rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA) and opposes any kind of limitations on assault weapons.

I'll fight to keep our communities safe from gun violence and ensure every woman has the right to make her own personal reproductive health care decisions – and my record proves it. Allan Fung will put lives at risk and side with the extreme right on these critical issues.

With so much on the line this election, it's critical that we keep Rhode Island's 2nd District blue. As your congressman, I will fight for every Rhode Islander and stand up for the issues that matter most to you – but I need your help getting to Congress.

Will you chip in before my FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline to help me keep RI-02 and our House majority blue?
