Team,

Seven years ago today, the Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges decision legalized same-sex marriage. It was a joyful day for people across our country and a watershed moment in the fight for equality. But now that landmark ruling is at risk.

Just minutes after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, upending 50 years of rights for women, Justice Clarence Thomas released a concurring opinion offering a peek at what he and his extremist colleagues have their eye on next – starting with Obergefell v. Hodges – which legalized same-sex marriage.

Team, this far-right Court has made it clear that they will not just stop at overturning Roe. I want to be clear on something: Justice Thomas has called on the Court to revisit multiple decisions. And in 2022 America, there is a very real risk of not only losing Roe v. Wade, but also the right to marry who we love.

This is the most conservative Court in recent memory, and they're pushing a far-right agenda that most Granite Staters don't agree with. I'm fed up. We have to work overtime to protect these rights.

I'm going to keep fighting to ensure a woman's right to choose and to protect our hard-won equality. I hope you're with me.

Thanks,

Chris
