Hi John, it’s Lindsey — Tom McDermott is my dad, and he asked me to reach out to share something important.

I know it’s been a tough few days for all of us, especially women who live in states where abortion is no longer legal or severely restricted. With Roe v. Wade overturned, my state of Indiana could be next.

I’m furious and my dad is, too. What happened on Friday is yet another example of what happens when people in power are completely disconnected from the way that life really is in America. No one should have the power to take away my right to make my own medical decisions — ever.

My dad and I have a lot to say, as you’ll see in our video below. It may remind you of some of the conversations you’ve been having with your family and loved ones. But it’s not enough for us to just talk about it. We need to take action, and that’s exactly what my dad has always done as Mayor and will do as Indiana’s U.S. Senator.
