I’ve written to you before about how my race will decide which party controls Congress this November. We knew we had a lot of pressure riding on us.
After the overturning of Roe v. Wade, everything has changed. This race could determine the fate of abortion rights in America.
Let me tell you why. If Republicans take control of the government, they’ve said they’ll follow Marjorie Taylor Greene’s lead and will pass a nationwide abortion ban. This would make abortion illegal here in California and women and doctors could start being jailed. I don’t say that to scare us, I say it because it’s a fact and we need to deal with this reality head on.

The Supreme Court overturning Roe is just the first step in Republicans' plan to completely roll back individual rights in this country. We saw in Justice Thomas’ opinion that he wants to overturn same sex marriage and a woman’s right to birth control. That is the agenda of the Republican party.
I’m one of 3 seats that can stop them from continuing to take us down this dark path. I proudly voted to codify Roe v. Wade into law and I’d do it again every day. But I seriously need your help to fight back in order to stop this blatant assault on the freedom of millions of women.
