Winning this race isn’t a given, in fact this is one of California’s most competitive House races. Our district is made up of an equal number of Democrats and Republicans, and because of redistricting, nearly 70% of the voters have never seen Katie on the ballot before. 

In order to be successful, we’re building a robust field program that’s particularly focused on reaching young voters, running digital ads, and knocking thousands of doors to tell voters about the work Katie Porter has done and what she stands for. 

A major part of our strategy is TV ads, but the LA media market is the second most expensive in the country, and that means we need to fundraise even more than other candidates do.
