When the conservative-controlled Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade this week, taking away the Constitutional right to abortion, MAGA extremist and NM-02 Representative Yvette Herrell celebrated.

This is exactly what Herrell wanted: she previously signed an amicus brief calling for Roe v. Wade to be overturned, voted against codifying Roe into federal law to guarantee the right to abortion, and cosponsored a bill to ban abortion nationwide.

This isn’t about protecting children and families. If it was, Herrell would’ve voted for funding to alleviate the baby formula shortage.

We know the truth: it’s about controlling women’s bodily autonomy and life decisions that should be between them and their doctor.

Gabe on the other hand was just endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and joined members of his community at a rally yesterday to stand up for reproductive rights. In Congress, he will always stand up for choice.

In November, New Mexicans in the 2nd district have a clear choice: re-elect a far-right, anti-choice extremist who wants to ban abortion nationwide, or replace her with a pro-choice Democrat who will fight to stop this attack on women’s rights.
