The National Black Trans Advocacy Coalition helps Black trans people get trans-inclusive healthcare, jobs, housing, community, and basic needs like emergency food and legal identity documents.

Led by Black trans and gender-nonconforming people, the social justice organization provides free services for people who need support now, while also advocating to end inequities rooted in systemic racism.

Their work is more urgent than ever.

The right-wing is stirring up violence and hate against marginalized communities, which particularly endangers Black trans people—who already face the highest rates of discrimination and homelessness among the LGBTQ+ community.

Black trans people are also significantly more likely to experience violence at the hands of police, and they’ve been at the forefront of fights against police brutality, which created Pride.

Black trans people face ongoing discrimination in education, housing, healthcare, employment, and more. Some of this discrimination is still legal.

In many states, people can be evicted, denied medical care, or more just for being trans. The Equality Act would change this, but in lieu of Senate action we’ve got to support groups on the ground helping people right now.
