March On Pride Month 2022: Celebrating LGBTQ+ Women

Dear Friend,

Today, we’re spotlighting Tammy Baldwin, the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to the House of Representatives AND the Senate!

Since Baldwin was first elected to Congress in 1998, she has been a fierce advocate of LGBTQ+ rights and equality – by cosponsoring bills that would ban conversion therapy, ensure protections for LGBTQ+ children, and more.

Notably, Baldwin co-founded the Congressional LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus in 2008, which now has 165 members dedicated to LGBTQ+ causes.

We’re so grateful that Senator Baldwin is representing Wisconsin and standing up for justice for all – including by passing the Equality Act!

We couldn’t agree more – the Senate MUST pass the Equality Act.

In the next 7 days, the Supreme Court is planning to overturn Roe v. Wade – endangering not just the right to abortion, but also critical LGBTQ+ protections.

But the Equality Act would change EVERYTHING – it would tear down state-level attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and equality AND protect our communities from future acts of discrimination, including from the Supreme Court.

So please take action now: Email your Senator and demand that they pass the Equality Act >>

Thank you for taking action with us.
