We are at a crisis moment in this country. The Supreme Court has used its power not to defend our freedoms, but to take away a constitutional right vital to so many people's lives.

So, once again, it's up to us – you and the ACLU. We have to commit right now to doing everything we can in this alarming new landscape – to achieve a world where everyone has the abortion care they need – no matter where they live or how much money they have.

And to be clear, we have a plan to do this. We just need to know you're with us.

ACLU Supporter, with lawyers, experts, and advocates in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, the ACLU is uniquely positioned and qualified to play a central role in the response to this devastating decision. We've prepared for this moment and with your monthly support, we'll use the full force of our organization to fight back as hard as it takes – for as long as it takes:

• Together, we will proactively expand abortion access wherever possible – while fighting against new bans nationwide. We have already helped pass state legislation protecting or expanding abortion access in Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. And at the same time, we continue our work nationwide to defeat, delay, or improve new abortion bans proposed in state legislatures.
• We'll help health care providers innovate and adapt. We will help clinics, abortion providers, and other organizations design ways to support patients seeking abortions while minimizing the legal risks to them and their patients.
• We'll react swiftly and decisively in the courts. Collaborating closely with Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights, the ACLU will deploy rapid response litigation teams across the country in an attempt to preserve as much abortion access as possible – for as long as possible.
• We'll organize our millions of members, activists, and supporters for change. Through the ACLU's People Power advocacy network, we'll hold politicians who push extreme anti-abortion laws to account – urging our massive community to call their representatives, sign petitions, take to the streets, and more.
• We'll drive political advocacy and mobilization efforts nationwide. Our teams are working relentlessly to protect voting rights through litigation and advocacy. We're also deeply engaged in several abortion measures on the ballot. And we're deploying our vast resources to ensure abortion is at the center of the public debate for all elected officials this November.

Is that an ambitious agenda? Absolutely. It has to be. That's the only way we can fight back – and win. And we can win, but we need your immediate and sustained support.
