john,

It angers and saddens me that after being settled law for almost fifty years, Roe v. Wade has been overturned, and access to a safe and legal abortion is now banned or severely limited in states across the country.

I've been a lifelong advocate for women's rights and Planned Parenthood. I debated in favor of abortion rights when I was in middle school. In 1987, I protested Robert Bork's nomination to the Supreme Court.

And as a doctor, I saw firsthand how important it is that every woman be empowered to make her own reproductive health care decisions.

In 2017, I joined hundreds of thousands of women at the first Women's March. We took a united stand to let the Trump administration know that we were not going to stand by while they attacked reproductive rights. I didn't know it then, but that day helped me decide to run for office for the first time.

As the only pro-choice woman doctor in Congress, I know that deeply personal reproductive decisions should be between patient and doctor. The government should never be in charge of these decisions. That's why I'm working in Congress to defend reproductive rights for all women.

And as long as I'm your congresswoman, I will continue to work to ensure that we protect this fundamental right for every woman, no matter where she lives. But four extreme, anti-choice Republicans are running to unseat me – so to keep fighting for reproductive rights in Congress, I need your help, john.

Will you make a donation to my campaign before my FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline to ensure I can continue fighting to defend reproductive rights in Congress?

Thank you,

Kim

To hold the House majority, we must re-elect Rep. Kim Schrier in WA-08. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and the Democratic House majority in 2022?
