Earlier this month, a team of Republicans submitted the necessary paperwork to begin the process of securing a referendum this fall to allow voters to decide whether illegal immigrants should be rewarded with a Massachusetts driver's license for breaking the law.

It's a yes-or-no question. It's easy-to-understand.

Yet Attorney General Maura Healey has thus far refused to advance the matter, meaning activists and volunteers are continuing to lose precious days that could be spent collecting the required 40,000-plus signatures to secure its place on the ballot in November.
She's doing this because she's not only a supporter of this lawless policy, she's also indebted to the special interest groups that bullied her fellow Democrats on Beacon Hill to enact it in the first place.

We need to vote her and the rest of them out of office.
