It's so heartbreaking that even writing about it is difficult for me to do.
Job Price was born into a tight knit family in a small town in Pennsylvania. His loving mother and father fostered an environment where Job and his younger sister, Bronwyn, could thrive.
According to his teachers, coaches, friends, and family, Job refused to accept anything but his best effort in all that he did. But was also the first to laugh at himself when that ‘best effort’ didn’t quite go as planned.
Commander Price understood and embraced the importance of placing the greater good above self at the early age of 18. That’s what led him to serve our country in the military.
While serving, SEAL Commander Price quickly rose through the ranks and was described as focused, disciplined, loyal, and dedicated - to name a few. He cared deeply about his country and fought to protect American ideals for his wife, his kid, and all of us.
Tragically, while deployed in Afghanistan, Commander Price was found dead on the morning of December 22, 2012, with a pistol in his hand and a pool of blood underneath him.
Commander Price showed immense love to all of those he was close to in his life and was always honest with them. That's why when his sudden death got pronounced a suicide by a Navy death review board, his family knew something wasn't right.
