The Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, opening the floodgates for Republican-dominated states to ban abortion, attacking the bodily autonomy of all people. Lives, health, and futures will be lost, as people are forced to carry unwanted pregnancies. Working-class people, especially those most oppressed by racism, sexism, and transphobia, will pay the highest price. But the struggle is not over.
In addition to yesterday’s protest, Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights is hosting another protest TODAY, Saturday, June 25th at 5 pm at Westlake plaza (downtown Seattle, 4th Ave & Pine, not the Federal Building). Please come find the DSA tent at the protest and invite others! Please “like” and share DSA social media posts about this protest.

DSA printed picket signs and flyers which argue that we cannot accept this unpopular attack from the Supreme Court, which is opposed by 69% of the population. We can – and must – build a mass movement to defend and extend reproductive rights. Toward that end, our flyers and picket signs urge activists to pressure mass organizations, particularly Planned Parenthood, the Women's March organization, and AFL-CIO, to use their resources and authority to call a Million Person March on Washington in September. DSA on our own cannot call a Million Person March, but we can pressure bigger organizations to do this.
