As I'm sure you know, most congressional districts are safe -- meaning that one party is essentially guaranteed to win the seat, no matter how extreme that party's nominee is. And that makes it all the more important to defeat MAGA candidates in safe GOP primaries -- that's the shortest path to beating back Trump-First authoritarianism.

The Country First ONE FUND benefits candidates who courageously voted in favor of impeachment and/or face a Republican primary election opponent who promotes the Big Lie that the election was stolen, amplifies dangerous conspiracy theories, and defends the January 6th attack on our Capitol.

Any gift will go directly to these candidates after being divided evenly, with all boats rising with each generous donation:

• Rep. Liz Cheney (WY), Vice Chair of the 1/6 Committee. Voted to impeach Trump following Capitol attack. Facing Trump-endorsed MAGA candidate in GOP primary.

Let me be clear: This movement isn't aiming to elect more Republicans OR more Democrats -- we're aiming to support candidates who will preserve democracy and, with it, our republic in the face of overwhelming pressure to put party over country.  America's survival doesn't rely upon giving more power to either party (as each would have us believe); it relies upon good, reasonable people -- conservatives and liberals and moderates alike -- stepping up to lead, and then working together.
