The Supreme Court just ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade.

It is the terrifying and dangerous moment that so many of us have warned was coming, and once again, Washington is failing to protect our rights.

As former Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, I want to be 100% clear: Reproductive freedom is a constitutional right.

This decision is exactly what extreme right-wing politicians like my opponent Ted Budd fought for. Next on their list is a full federal ban on abortion. Ted Budd wants a total ban on abortion without exceptions. And it will not stop there. This decision also lays the groundwork for attacks on LGBTQ+ rights from the Supreme Court.
