Help fight gender based violence ([link removed])
Hi John,
As gender based violence continues to sweep our community in the Caribbean, our resolve only hardens. According to the UNDP Caribbean Human Development report, 1 in 3 women report high rates of fear of sexual assault and this fear – no, reality – will only be substantially higher for non-binary, trans people, and lesbian and bi women.
But our time is now.
Already, as OutRight continues to implement our projects in the region, we learn more about the needs of our LGBTIQ community. A region that is comprised of 26 countries with diverse communities, cultures and politics provides the unique opportunity to implement different strategies as well as compile model programs and best practices.
The success of our projects in the region is reflected in the comments of our local partners who say, “Thanks to OutRight our communities can have the capacity to make a difference in the lives of our LGBTIQ community. It’s not easy, but with OutRight there is hope.”

The most significant part of my work with OutRight is being a part of something BIGGER! I’m involved in a larger vision that guides the work of a dynamic global team that day in and day out continues to work to improve the lives of our LGBTIQ global community. I’m proud to represent the Caribbean region on this team that is guided by the core principles of social justice and inclusion, diversity and human rights.
And I’ll be grateful for any support you choose to give today. $100 is enough to cover materials for a class of training in the Caribbean. But regardless, whatever you can give will go towards ending gender based violence and enacting protective policies in the region.
