​A Double Legal Standard Sweeps the Nation (

If you’re upset about the double legal standard playing out in
the United States - one for conservatives and one for liberals,
one for Republicans and one for Democrats - so are we at Shout
Out Patriots.

Former Attorney General William Barr recently told Glenn Beck the
legal system is “rigged against Republicans.”

No sooner than making this statement, we saw that double legal
standard on full display in the United States.

We talk (

) about three of these recent cases in this episode.

First, we examine the arrest of 31 Patriot Front members as they
were traveling to a gay pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The
group was jailed for ‘conspiracy to riot.’ But wait! Don’t you
need to commit the crime before being arrested? Reminds you of
the movie Minority Report (

).

Then a sheriff threatened to bring hate crime charges against a
group of fathers in San Francisco protesting a Drag Queen Story
Hour performance at a local library. It wasn’t because of
anything they did, but because of something they said.

Finally, Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro was arrested and
incarcerated for contempt of Congress. But remember Lois Lerner,
the former director of the IRS? She was charged with contempt of
Congress while serving under Barack Obama but was never arrested
OR jailed.
