We’re reaching out to reshare Ilhan’s message from yesterday. Please take a moment to read it and chip in, if you can. We need to organize like never before to keep building our progressive coalition to expand the Supreme Court, protect the right to privacy, and ensure women and all pregnant people have the guaranteed right to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions:

The moment we’ve been fearing for weeks has come to pass: The conservative-stacked Supreme Court has officially overturned Roe v. Wade.

I am furious. We cannot go back to the way things were before Roe v. Wade. Generations before us fought to make abortion legal, safe, and accessible. But Republicans and their allies on the Supreme Court do not care that this decision violates decades of constitutional precedent and will put the lives of millions of women and pregnant people in danger.

The reality is that while Democrats are the party of protecting freedom and expanding liberty, the Republican Party’s agenda is based on controlling and oppressing people — especially those in marginalized communities, including women, Black and Brown folks, and LBGTQ people.

Democrats are fighting to protect reproductive rights and the overall right for an individual to make their own private healthcare decisions. We are working to transform lives and livelihoods through bold policies like the Women’s Health Protection Act, Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, universal school meals, Homes for All, and more — because freedom means everyone has the resources to have a real shot at the American Dream.

Meanwhile, Republicans are laser-focused on regressive policies that strip away reproductive rights, undermine voting rights, hurt working people at the expense of corporate profit, and even control the books people read.

It’s a moral outrage — but I refuse to let them succeed. I will always be a voice for freedom in Congress and am the only congressional Democratic candidate in MN-05 that Planned Parenthood Action Fund trusted with their endorsement.

But I’m up against several anti-choice candidates, and I’m counting on your support to stay in the House to keep uplifting individual rights and expand our progressive coalition. That’s why I’m asking at this critical moment:
