This rambunctious 2-year-old had a tough start in life but with special care and dedicated training Herbie learned to love again. The best news: he found his forever home!

By supporting PAWS Chicago, you’re not only saving pets in need – you’re solving the pet homelessness problem.
* We perform more than 15,000 free and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries each year preventing thousands of unwanted pets from being born.
* 93% of pets we meet through our PAWS For Life door-to-door outreach program in Englewood and Back Of The Yards are not spayed/neutered – of those, 85% are spayed/neutered at PAWS for free, preventing pet overpopulation at its source.
* As we get closer to our goal of a No Kill Chicago, a larger percentage of the animals we rescue are sick or injured. Already, more than 75% require treatment for medical conditions. But there’s good news: when our Medical Center expansion is complete next summer, we’ll have triple the space to isolate and care for contagious animals. It will be one of the premier animal hospitals in the country. We’ll take in animals that no one else can treat!
