Funding for comprehensive reproductive health and education shouldn’t be up for debate or partisanship, but right now these rights are under attack and it’s up to us to fight back.

That’s why I’m so thrilled today to announce that the Planned Parenthood Action Fund has endorsed our campaign.

Women across Alaska struggle every day to find vital health and educational services, while facing the nation’s highest rates of STDs and other preventable diseases. I recently visited with a woman from a Native village who has to repeatedly travel 70 miles by snow machine just to get her needed care. And in my experience as a mom of four now grown children, there is nothing more important than knowledge and access to care.

I have seen firsthand Planned Parenthood’s positive impacts in our communities. In Congress, I will work to make sure all Americans have access to affordable, comprehensive reproductive health services and I will stand up to any efforts to defund Planned Parenthood.

My opponent Don Young has unfortunately voted against Planned Parenthood so many times over the last 46 years that it is difficult to count all of his harmful votes. Recent attacks on Planned Parenthood are making it harder for women to access vital healthcare services. In 2017, 2.4 million people across the country received services from Planned Parenthood centers. These centers often serve the most vulnerable members of our community who can’t afford to get care elsewhere. This is simply unacceptable.
