Have you seen Tammy’s email on Roe v. Wade?

She speaks about why the Supreme Court’s recent decision is so personal to her, and what we can do right now to make an impact.

Take a look below for yourself and then add your name next to Tammy’s demanding that Congress codify Roe into federal law >>

Yesterday, news broke that the Supreme Court has struck down Roe v. Wade completely — effectively taking a right away from Americans for the one of the first times in our nation’s history. Now, it’s on us to do everything we can to protect safe, accessible abortions.

I’m sure many of you are pretty scared. The protections that generations of Americans had are gone.

And for myself, this is particularly difficult, because it’s not just about abortion. It’s about reproductive choice. In my case, it could go as far as having prevented me from using IVF, or fertility treatments, to have my two beautiful girls.

Today is an important day to turn your frustration into action and make your stance on this issue clear.

Add your name to call on Congress to act immediately to codify the right to safe and legal abortion into law. It is as important as ever that we protect abortion rights.

Republicans want to drag our country back to a time when the government could force people to give birth even if they did not want to — something that’s particularly cruel when those same Republicans are the reason so many Americans don’t have access to maternal healthcare, child care and paid parental leave.

This is exactly why we need more pro-choice, Democratic women in the Senate. Because we know if Republicans regain control, they’ll work to advance a nationwide ban on abortion.

If you agree that Congress must act immediately to codify Roe into law so that the right to safe and legal abortion is protected at the federal level, add your name today.

I’m angry that Republican legislators continue to undermine women’s bodily autonomy fifty years after Roe. But it remains my hope that we can pass legislation that affirms the constitutional right to an abortion at the federal level.

Thank you for reading. I'll be in touch with more soon.

All my best,

Tammy Duckworth
