John,

I’m writing to you the morning after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Now more than ever, I want to reaffirm that I will never stop fighting to protect reproductive rights. I pledge to the people of Maine that, so long as I am Governor, my veto pen will stand in the way of any effort to undermine, rollback, or outright eliminate the right to safe and legal abortion in Maine.

But I can’t win this fight alone. My right-wing opponent and his allies are going to throw everything they have to defeat me and set us back decades on reproductive rights – and we can’t back down.

Today, I’m asking you to join me in this fight by making a donation of whatever you can right now. There’s too much at stake and we can’t go back.

As always, thank you,

Janet Mills
