The Roe decision might seem sudden, but conservatives have been organizing to overturn abortion for nearly 50 years. Maine Republicans like Susan Collins might want to act surprised at this decision, but she personally has brought us to this point.

Susan Collins didn’t stand up to protect abortion when she had the chance. She voted for two radical, anti-choice judges and pretended like she didn’t know how they would rule on Roe if given the chance. Now, she’s complicit in the rollback of constitutional rights taking place nationwide.

Millions of Americans lost a constitutional right because of Maine Republicans like Susan Collins. Now, we need to organize to protect abortion in Maine and elect Democrats to undo her damage. Can you step up and help us with a donation of $5?

Engaging in anti-abortion activities is nothing new for the Maine GOP. Their 2022 platform proudly claims that life starts at conception and calls for banning all abortions. Paul LePage and Republican control of the State House would mean the end of abortion protections for Mainers.
