Dear John,
My son Paul had it all figured out. At the age of 14, he had set his sights on Florida State University and a degree in marine biology. But Paul never made it — he was shot and killed before his 15th birthday.
I can still remember the last time I saw Paul, when he hopped out of the car for school that day. That was 7 years ago and it still hurts every day. What keeps me going is knowing that the work I'm doing each day with Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety is changing lives and saving lives. And it's why I'm asking you to support Everytown and Moms Demand Action this Giving Tuesday. Your generous contribution today strengthens our work to end gun violence.

Paul was a great kid: he was the catcher for his baseball team and played football. He had an infectious personality and big dreams for the future. His friends still keep in touch with me and we speak frequently. And while every day is difficult without Paul, I have two nephews named after him; so his name and legacy lives on. He also lives on through me and through the work that I am doing to end senseless gun violence in his honor.
It's up to you and me to make it stop. I think you know next year is an important one for our movement. And that's why I'm counting on you to do what you can this Giving Tuesday to support our movement — so we can end this scourge of gun violence once and for all.
Thank you for all you do.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Stone
