John, The decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is devastating and impossible to accept in 2022. San Francisco will not stand for this injustice and we will continue to protect a person’s right to abortion and to protect reproductive rights. More than ever before we must all join together to protect reproductive rights in the face of this ruling by the Supreme Court. If you’re comfortable showing up in this way, there are dozens of demonstrations planned across the Bay Area this weekend where we can speak out.GET LOUD! » It’s ironic that this so-called “pro-life” ruling comes the very day after the Supreme Court struck down a century’s old gun control rule in New York state. Their beliefs aren’t “pro-life” they’re anti-choice. We are lucky to live in a city and state that believes in the right to safe and legal abortion for all. But the effects of Roe falling will be devastating for countless Americans. People of color, those with low incomes, and younger people will be disproportionately impacted. The Roe decision remains more popular than ever, with a resounding majority of Americans supporting it. Now is the time for collective action. Now is the time to show up and use our voices to stand against the Supreme Court’s ruling and call for reproductive healthcare for all.
