John --

Happy Friday! We hope you are having a great summer. With today’s announcement of the overturn of Roe v. Wade, and new updates like our efforts to remind voters about Democrats’ failures during the 2022 Democrat State Convention in La Crosse, you can read more about what we’re working on at the WisGOP below.

As always, thanks for all you do!

- Team WisGOP

Following today’s ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, we wanted to make sure you saw our official statement <[link removed]> from Chairman Paul Farrow:

“Today’s Supreme Court decision represents a historic victory in the fight to protect the unborn, an affirmation of our Constitution, and the return of policymaking back to the people and our elected representatives, as our Founders intended.

“Republicans have always believed in the sanctity of life – that it is precious and worth defending. As we continue to push for recognition of the value of human life, Republicans will continue to speak up for unborn children and vulnerable mothers and families. We welcome all Wisconsinites who believe in the sanctity of life to join us.”

If you believe in the sanctity of human life, we invite you to join us in the fight to protect it. You can help us stand up for our values by signing up to volunteer here <[link removed]>.

As Democrats arrive in La Crosse for the Wisconsin Democrats’ 2022 State Convention, they will be greeted by new billboards highlighting their harmful policies that have devastated Wisconsin families. Yesterday, the Republican Party of Wisconsin unveiled three new billboards showcasing how Democrat policies have brought historic inflation and rising crime across the state.

Bidenflation cost the average Wisconsin household over $600 last month alone and the supply chain remains crippled, yet Tony Evers has proposed new tax hikes to pay for even more bloated government spending. Meanwhile, as violent crime rates surge in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin, Democrats like Mandela Barnes are trying to abolish ICE and end cash bail.

The billboards on inflation <[link removed]> and supply chain <[link removed]> issues will run from June 24-26 along I-90, while the billboard highlighting Democrats’ record of rising crime <[link removed]> will run from June 23-26 on Highway 53 near Downtown La Crosse.

Evers Put Politics Over People in Union Grove <[link removed]>

In case you missed it, as Empower Wisconsin reported, Tony Evers put politics over people while failing to address the horrific conditions at the state-run Veterans Home at Union Grove. Unfortunately, this won’t come as a surprise to Wisconsinites who watched Evers refuse federal assistance from President Trump while Kenosha burned.

According to the report, “as [Congressman Bryan] Steil notes, the Trump administration in the opening months of the pandemic offered consultation and staffing assistance to the Union Grove facility. The Evers administration declined the offers.”

Tony Evers Brags About Scott Walker’s Education Accomplishments <[link removed]>

Tony Evers still has no accomplishments to tout, so he has resorted to bragging about Scott Walker-era education achievements. The Center Square reported that while Evers often cites Wisconsin’s improvement in educational ranking from 18th to 8th in the country, he neglects to mention that those numbers come from Walker’s tenure.

Despite Evers’ audacity to proclaim himself the “education governor,” the reality is that Wisconsin children have fallen behind under his failed leadership. In addition to widespread learning loss caused by his refusal to reopen schools, English language arts proficiency is down by over 16 percent, math proficiency is down by over 20 percent, and just 8 percent of Black students are proficient in math, according to DPI data.
