John,

We knew this moment was coming, but it does not make it any less painful. 

This morning, the Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturning Roe v. Wade and striking down 49 years of precedent.

With this decision, the right to an abortion now falls under state jurisdiction. In Missouri, abortion is now illegal. Across the country, Republican governors and legislatures are now free to pass new laws cracking down on abortion rights, and they will not stop there. Our rights to birth control, privacy, and more are at risk. 

Let's be clear: Abortion care IS health care. It was so before this decision. And it will remain so after this.

We don't care what a far-right extremist Supreme Court that is in a crisis of legitimacy says. Its racist, sexist, classist ruling won't stop us from accessing the care we need.

Cori will continue speaking up for all of us, including by sharing her story of choosing to have an abortion and organizing in Congress for reproductive health justice. We must abolish the filibuster, codify Roe, and expand the Supreme Court. There is no other option.

We are with you in this struggle, no matter how hard or scary it gets. We're in this together.
