Friend – for nearly 50 years, Roe v. Wade has protected one of the most fundamental rights we have as Americans: the right to control our own bodies. But today, the anti-choice Supreme Court majority struck down Roe – stripping millions of their reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy.

I'm outraged by this decision. Let's get something straight: This has been a coordinated effort by anti-choice Republican politicians in Washington and state legislatures across the country for decades to roll back the clock on abortion rights so they can dictate a woman’s personal decision about if, when, and how to start or grow their family. The result is going to have immediate and devastating consequences for women’s health and lives.

We're not living in a hypothetical anymore. As anti-choice Republicans work to enact more abortion restrictions across the country in a post-Roe world – including right here in Nevada – the time to act is now.

I promise that I will never stop fighting in the Senate to protect abortion access under federal law. And I'll never stop fighting to expand our Democratic majority with more pro-choice senators who will work to uphold reproductive freedom.
