Subject: The Supreme Court has just ended the constitutional right to an abortion.

Team, we just learned that the Supreme Court has ended the constitutional right to an abortion by overturning Roe v. Wade. This is unacceptable.

I’m angry for my wife, for my daughters, and for the millions of women who will now be without abortion access in states that ban abortions.

But you don’t have to have daughters or a wife to be outraged: Reproductive rights are fundamental human rights, and everyone should be able to make healthcare decisions without politicians getting in the way. And let’s be clear, this decision will not save lives like the radical right claims – it will kill women and girls.

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. Kevin McCarthy and the radical right have made it clear that if they take back control of the House, they’ll pass a nationwide abortion ban.

And you can bet that my right-wing opponent Jeremy Shaffer will do nothing to protect our rights – he’ll be another vote against them.
