Dear Friends,
I wanted to let you know that you can now apply for the Agricultural Drought Relief Program.? Through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture?s 2021 Agricultural Drought Relief Program, our farmers can apply for up to $7,500 per farm for reimbursement on drought-related expenses.
The Minnesota Legislature appropriated slightly more than $8 million for this program so I hope it will help our community as we recover from last year?s drought. All Minnesota counties except Goodhue, Rice, Wabasha and Winona are eligible. More information and application instructions can be found here.
Additionally, I wanted to send along another reminder that Frontline Worker Bonus Pay applications remain open until July 22. Eligible workers can apply here. Thank you to all those who worked during the pandemic!
Governor Walz has been discussing doling out checks to help out as we see skyrocketing inflation and fuel prices. Despite our best efforts, the House Democrats ignored every effort to bring immediate tax relief to Minnesotans. The Governor and his Democrat counterparts can see the writing on the wall and are now using political theater to cover up for their errors. Next year, the priority of all House Republicans will be to provide immediate tax relief to us all. The money from the state budget surplus belongs to the taxpayers, and we need it back!
I hope you are able to enjoy the summer and please reach out if you need anything!
