Our worst fears were realized today when the news broke that SCOTUS overturned Roe V Wade. With the stroke of a pen, SCOTUS undid decades of progress for Women’s rights and instantaneously stripped millions of women across the country of their bodily autonomy. We know for a fact that banning abortion does not stop abortion- its stops safe abortions- and women in Wisconsin and across the country will die as a result.
In light of this devastating decision, this is what Brad’s opponent tweeted:
When people tell you who they are, believe them. Derrick Van Orden has compared abortion to genocide. He does not believe in women's reproductive freedom and women’s rights to control their bodies and their futures. He does not represent the values of Wisconsin’s 3rd district, and certainly, he will not fight for our community if elected to Congress. The rights of Wisconsin women are on the ballot in November and we can’t afford to lose this election.
That’s why I need you to give $25 today to make sure we keep this anti-choice, Capitol Rioter who is totally wrong for our district and out of line with our values out of Congress?
