John,
The conservative majority of the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade today, stripping women of their constitutional right to abortion and condemning us to second-class citizenship.
While those of us fortunate enough to live in states like California may be safe, our sisters in red states like Texas are waking up to a new, dystopian reality. As many as half of the states in America are expected to make abortion illegal.
This decision infuriates me. It’s dangerous and disproportionately impacts women of color and low income women and their families - women who are the least able to travel and obtain reproductive care.
Over my 40 years in public office, I have fought for a woman’s right to choose, equal rights and justice for all. I voted to codify Roe, and have worked to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Both are critical to protect women and ensure our constitutional right to equality.
John, I can’t keep fighting for our rights unless I’m re-elected to Congress. Please support my campaign and this fight.
Let’s stand together and fight for all women,
Thank you,
Anna
