The fight to protect reproductive rights has never been more urgent. Without constitutional support, it’s a certainty that a Republican-controlled Congress will vote to pass a federal, nationwide ban on abortion.
Steel joined extremists in asking SCOTUS to overturn Roe v. Wade to begin with. She also voted against the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would have codified reproductive rights for individuals. Her “A+” rating from the anti-choice Susan B. Anthony List doesn’t come as a surprise.
With choice on the ballot, the stakes are too high to allow our opponent another term in power.
