The Right to Life Wins and Morality is Restored Greetings! I wanted to take a moment to share with you a recap on what happened this week in Texas' 22nd District and the United States House of Representatives. This Week in Washington The Right to Life Wins and Morality is Restored Today, the right to life was upheld and morality was restored back to our country. The Supreme Court struck down the disastrous Roe V. Wade decision, which eroded states' rights to protect life and resulted in the death of over 63 million innocent babies. This is the greatest victory for both life and states’ rights in nearly 50 years, and it is all thanks to President Trump for putting true conservatives on the Supreme Court. This ruling will save millions of unborn children, giving them the opportunity to live out their God-given destiny. Today and everyday, I am proud to stand with the pro-life movement. I will always give my voice to the voiceless and fiercely defend the right to life. Undoubtedly, Democrats have already begun devising a plan to blow up the Senate filibuster, and create a path for them to either codify Roe v. Wade into law or pack the court with radical Left-wing Justices who will reinstate it. We CANNOT allow that to happen. We must protect life at all costs! Introduced a Bill to Protect Children from the Left's Radical Indoctrination Campaign This week, I introduced H.R. 8212, the Stop Child Abuse Act, a bill that rescinds Biden’s recent Executive Order that overrides the will of parents and allows children to have access to harmful and potentially sterilizing gender transition interventions. On June 15, President Biden signed an Executive Order asking the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services to promote access to “gender-affirming care” interventions, including for children. This dangerous practice of so-called “care” includes puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries. Not only is Joe Biden’s Executive Order the latest of many attempts by the Left to indoctrinate our children, it has the potential to permanently damage their mental and physical well-being. As both a father and a husband to an elementary school principal, I am disgusted that the Biden administration is using their power to side-step parents and pollute the minds of the next generation. Republicans seem to be the only ones left in Washington who actually care about the American family. We will do everything in our power to push back against the Left’s child abuse campaign. Recognized TX-22 Musical Prodigy Tayte Choudhury on the House Floor This week, I had the honor of recognizing a true musical prodigy with the kind of gift that many of us may only come across once-in-a-lifetime, Fort Bend County's very own Tayte Choudhury. At only 17 years old, Tayte is internationally recognized for his astounding ability in piano. He is a first-place winner for the “American Protégé award” and is performing a winning piece at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City on June 26th. Despite a physical disability that left him 70% deaf in both ears, Tayte has achieved great success in both music and scholastics. There is no doubt Tayte has God-given talent, but that talent would be meaningless without his hard-work, sacrifice, resilience, and an entire village that helped him throughout the way. Tayte, from myself and all of TX-22, we are extremely proud of you and can’t wait to see how high you fly. Watch me speak on the House floor HERE.
