King County Metro RapidRide Expansion, I Line: Small But Mighty

Develop a series of small sculptures and related retaining wall treatments for the new RapidRide I Line corridor, which will connect the King County, WA cities of Renton, Kent, and Auburn via bus rapid transit.

Deadline: July 13, 2022 by 4:00 PM PDT
Budget: $525,000 ($100,000 design, $425,000 implementation; budget is inclusive of travel and WA Sales/Use Tax).
Eligibility: Open to professional artists, working independently or as a team with a solid history of collaboration, that reside in the United States. Some travel to King County, WA is expected.

Art in Public Places Opportunity: Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center

Deadline: June 27, 2022
Budget: Approximately $95,000 for a site-specific commission
Eligibility: Artists and artist teams who reside in the states of Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho and Montana are eligible to apply. Emerging artists and artists from traditionally or currently underserved communities, including rural communities and communities of color, are especially encouraged to apply. Artists with current contracts through Oregon's Percent for Art in Public Places program are not eligible.

RFP: Sammamish Outdoor Art Piece “Celebrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion”

Budget: $50,000
Eligibility: This call is open to established practicing artists residing in Washington State and have experience in medium scale public art installation. Local Washington State artists with sculpture abilities, but without medium scale public art installation experience, are still encouraged to apply. Black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) artists are strongly encouraged to apply.

RFQ: 2D & 3D Public Artworks for Frostburg State University, Education & Health Sciences Center

Deadline: June 29, 2022
Budget: $210,000
Eligibility: All professional artists or artist teams living in the United States may apply. If artists apply as a team, the team should be listed on the application, specifying a team leader to receive notifications. Artists currently enrolled in a university or college degree program are not eligible to apply. Employees of Frostburg State University, the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Maryland State Arts Council are not eligible to apply.
