Today is a dark day in American History. Pregnancy is not something that should be forced on people by the government, it’s an individual’s freedom to make that choice.
Let me be clear, in Colorado the right to reproductive freedom is still law. I am proud that Colorado passed the Reproductive Health Equity Act to protect the right to access abortion. But make no mistake, this ruling will embolden extreme anti-choice activists to go further and seek a nationwide abortion ban.
We cannot let this become a reality.
This decision underlines just how high the stakes are in 2022. We cannot protect our bodily autonomy if we cannot make our voices heard at the ballot box in free and fair elections.
