We The Action
** We The Action Volunteer,
------------------------------------------------------------
The Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is a devastating blow, upending a fundamental right that had been guaranteed for fifty years. Legal access to abortion will now vary state to state, depriving millions of Americans of control over their own bodies and over essential decisions for themselves and their families. These immediate harms will fall disproportionately on people of color.
Organizations across the country are working to navigate this new patchwork of state laws and ensure that access to safe and effective abortion care remains available to as many people as possible. They are also striving for broader reproductive justice and equity, which includes both the right not to have children and the right to have and raise children in safe and healthy environments. Our team is in touch with dozens of organizations to identify impactful ways for volunteer lawyers to help secure these rights.
You’ll find below an opportunity to support their work, and we hope you will consider signing up. To have more projects delivered right to your inbox, please also make sure you’ve selected “Reproductive Justice” as a cause you care about in your We The Action profile ([link removed]) .

Support Abortion Providers by Acting as Local Counsel in Your State ([link removed])
Regulatory Assistance for Abortion Providers (RAAP)
Work in partnership with staff attorneys for RAAP, a nonprofit that provides pro bono legal compliance assistance to abortion providers throughout the US, by serving as local counsel in states where staff attorneys are not barred. Work may include assisting abortion providers in complying with restrictions related to abortion care, helping abortion providers who are expanding or modifying their services, and supporting abortion providers in responding to state inspections. This project is open to lawyers barred in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Nevada, Nebraska, North Carolina, Montana, Michigan, Kansas, Georgia, Colorado, and Arizona. If you are not barred in any of these states, please encourage lawyers you know in these states to join We The Action and volunteer. Mentorship and supervision will be provided.

If you want to join mobilization efforts, you can find one near your home by visiting Decision Day Mobilization ([link removed]) .
Now is the time to act. Our fight to protect and expand abortion access is just beginning.
We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
With gratitude,
We The Action Team
