Dear Neighbors,
Earlier today, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade decision. This decision will return the emotional issue of abortion back to the states?letting citizens decide for themselves, through their elected representatives, how they would like to regulate abortion.

Today?s ruling is a huge victory for millions of Americans that have been engaged in the pro-life movement for years.
While this could cause major changes in other states, in Minnesota we have a State Supreme Court decision from 1995, called Doe v. Gomez, that essentially guarantees the same rights as Roe v. Wade on a state level as it was found a Minnesota constitutional right to abortion and requires that tax dollars fund them.
Because of this, the overturning of Roe v. Wade likely has no effect on the State of Minnesota for now. Primarily because of Democrats control of the house and Governor Walz is pro-abortion.
That's why November is critical in Minnesota for the prolife movement.
I have long been a staunch defender of the unborn and am proudly pro-life. I will continue fighting for the rights of the unborn here in Minnesota.
