Hello,

Today, my family and I are mourning the sudden death of a beloved family member. I wanted to briefly reach out about the Supreme Court  (SCOTUS) decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. 

I tweeted earlier today (see below) as the start of a new conversation about a different kind of leadership. Tweets aren’t really conversations though.

Wherever we stand on abortion we must recognize that reproductive justice protects us from our government. The modern SCOTUS has taken the historic use of courts to oppress people based on race, gender, and other identities to new levels paving the way to fascism. I have more to say on this but need to get back to my family. Most importantly, we cannot fight hate and oppression with more of the same. Only love can do that. And above all we will continue, Team Nika, to lead in love together.
