Dear John,
Today the Supreme Court decided to end a women's constitutional right to choose. Roe v. Wade was overturned this morning, a law that has protected the fundamental right of women for 50 years.
The decision to govern reproductive health laws through a state-by-state action is outrageous and saddening for the health of women and their families. Unfortunately, those who will be affected the most are those who have the least - it's not ok to let the government dictate and destroy affordable healthcare access.
The time to act is now. Congress must protect women's reproductive freedoms. The government has no business controlling women's healthcare decisions.
In Congress, I will work tirelessly to ensure everyone has access to affordable healthcare, including safe abortion.
