Protest TODAY, Friday, June 24th at 5 pm at the Federal Building downtown at 915 2nd Ave (at Madison St).  Please join us and invite others.

The Supreme Court has overturned Roe vs. Wade, eviscerating women’s rights. This opens the floodgates for Republican-dominated states to ban abortion, attacking the bodily autonomy of all people. Lives, health, and futures will be lost, as people are forced to carry unwanted pregnancies. Working-class people, especially those most oppressed by racism, sexism, and transphobia, will pay the highest price.  We cannot accept this.

Seattle DSA's Local Council and DSA reproductive rights activists agreed to join the Reproductive Justice Coalition.  Our coalition will protest TODAY, Friday, June 24th at 5 pm at the Federal Building downtown at 915 2nd Ave (at Madison St).  Please join us and invite others.  Please “like” and share DSA social media posts about this protest to spread the word.

DSA printed picket signs and flyers to hand out at this protest. Please arrive by 4 pm if you can help assemble picket signs and set up the DSA tent.

Our flyer argues that we cannot accept this unpopular attack from the Supreme Court, which is opposed by 69% of the population.  We can – and must – build a mass movement to defend and extend reproductive rights. Toward that end, our flyers and picket signs urge activists to pressure mass organizations, particularly Planned Parenthood, the Women's March organization, and AFL-CIO, to use their authority to call a Million Person March on Washington in September.  DSA on our own cannot call a Million Person March, but we can pressure bigger organizations to do this.

Please check out our flyer and picket sign and prepare to help us sign people up with the QR code.

Tonight’s action includes a street sit-in to demonstrate our determination to reclaim our rights.  If you want to participate, please arrive at the Federal Building at 4:30 pm for an orientation.

DSA member Stephanie Gallardo will be speaking at this protest today at the Federal Building.

In addition to our coalition’s protest, Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights is having a protest on the same day, today, Friday, unfortunately at the same time (5 pm) at Westlake plaza.

Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights is also having a SECOND protest TOMORROW, Saturday, June 25 at 5 pm at Westlake.  Please join us for both the protest today at the Federal Building and tomorrow at Westlake, and invite others!

Please come find the DSA table, get a picket sign or flyers, and help sign people up using the QR code.
