The Supreme Court just struck down Roe v. Wade, overturning a precedent that protected reproductive freedom for a generation.

While we knew this was coming, it’s still difficult. I am worried, and I am angry. But that doesn’t mean I’m quitting. I am going to continue to fight for our rights, and I hope you will join me.

Today’s decision is not the end. The Court has put this issue squarely back in the hands of the American people, ruling that the right to an abortion is an issue for the people through the democratic process in the states or the U.S. Congress.

Republicans are already planning to try to pass a federal abortion ban if they take control of Congress, and both of my Republican opponents are all in up to make it happen. We can’t let that happen.

It is so important we win races like this one to stop Republicans from taking back the majority in the House of Representatives.

I am proud to be endorsed by pro-choice organizations like Planned Parenthood and EMILY’s List. I am committed to being an unwavering defender of choice in Congress, but I can’t get to the House without your help. I wish I didn’t have to ask this of you. I wish the stakes weren’t this high, but I know I’m going to need your help.
