JOHN – The Supreme Court of the United States just released their ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson, overturning Roe v. Wade. While we knew this outcome was inevitable, it is still heartbreaking, disheartening, and dangerous for women across the country.
In Florida, where a person's right to choose after 15 weeks of pregnancy is not protected, this ruling could have strong ramifications that takes away this right from Floridian women.
Can you split a contribution between various Florida abortion funds so we can protect reproductive rights on the ground?
There's already so many barriers placed on people seeking abortion care. And since Florida is one of the few Southern states without a full-trigger law in place, folks from other states will come here for reproductive care, straining the current resources.
We need to pass the Women's Health Protection Act in the House AND the Senate. But in order to do that, we need to elect champions of reproductive rights across Florida. If elected, I promised to be a proud co-sponsor of the bill and to fight to pass it!
I'm in this race because I believe in equality and equity for all. There is no equity when people's rights are stripped right before them. That's why I'll continue to advocate for reproductive access across Florida and nationally.
If elected, my extreme Republican opponent Anna Paulina Luna supports banning abortions, even in cases of rape and incest. That's why I would appreciate your support in this race, so we can fight for every Pinellas County resident's right to make decisions for their own body.
And if you want to protect this seat from an anti-choice, extremist Republican in November, will you rush a contribution to my campaign to elect a pro-choice champion to Congress?
protect abortion in congress
I'm proud to stand up for reproductive rights. Thank you for your support, JOHN.
