The day we have been preparing for has arrived. The Supreme Court that Donald Trump packed with far-right extreme conservatives has just overturned Roe v. Wade. Like you, I am livid. No amount of preparation is enough to read the headlines we’re reading right now.
This is about abortion, and it’s also about protecting our access to health care. We know that decisions should be made between patient and doctor, not politicians.
We have to do what we do best – channel our anger into action. I’m lucky to live in Minnesota – a state that will likely preserve the constitutional right to safe and healthy abortions. But our neighboring states aren’t so lucky, so we expect Minnesota to be inundated with folks traveling from out of state to get the care they need.
That’s why I’m personally making a donation to the abortion fund in my community – and I encourage you to do the same. Women are counting on us, and we must step up for them.
But our fight can’t stop there. In fact, we cannot rest until we kick out every last anti-choice Republican elected official. I’m taking on that fight by running against anti-choice Republican Pete Stauber.
