Folks, this is a hard email to write. Republicans got their wish. The Supreme Court, packed with craven partisan justices, a majority of whom were placed on the bench by presidents that didn't win the popular vote, just struck down Roe vs Wade.

This decision, which has little support among the American people, lays the groundwork for states with conservative majorities in state legislatures across the country to ban abortion of any and all kinds immediately.

There are a couple of things you need to know as Virginians:

• First — Abortion is still LEGAL in Virginia.
• Second — Glenn Youngkin promised to go “on offense” on abortion on his campaign last year. This decision will give him a green light to try and make good on that promise.
• Third — The only thing standing between Glenn Youngkin and his dream of an anti-choice Commonwealth is our Democrats in the Virginia Senate. Will you help us keep fighting to protect abortion rights in the Commonwealth of Virginia?

This is why people say elections have consequences. The consequences of this November’s elections are massive. They decide the power structure in Washington and whether or not we’ll be able to codify the protections that Roe granted us into federal law or if choice will be something made for women by the individual states they live in.

We're asking for your support today, tomorrow, and every day between now and election day. We need to make sure our Democrats win in November. We need to keep holding Glenn Youngkin accountable to the people of Virginia, and we need to keep fighting every day for the rights that so many before us fought and bled for.
