To the women of North Carolina: you still have a legal right to an abortion in our state. North Carolina state law protects women's reproductive freedoms. This is true even after the Supreme Court today stripped women of their right to an abortion under the Constitution by overturning Roe v. Wade.
And friend, if you want women to keep these freedoms under state law, then we must support and elect state officials who commit to protecting them.
I want you to know that I'm committed to protecting women’s reproductive freedoms.
Today’s decision is an egregious attack on reproductive rights nationwide and ignores the longstanding precedent set under Roe v. Wade. It’s an assault on women’s rights.
I also want you to know that I have always stood up for a woman’s right to make her own health and reproductive decisions. And I will not stop now.
As our state’s Attorney General, I will keep doing everything I can to ensure women in North Carolina can exercise their reproductive rights. We cannot go backward. We must fight to defend the progress we’ve made for reproductive health care.
But to do so, I need to hit all of my fundraising goals to stay in office, help elect Democrats down the ballot, and stop the GOP from taking away our freedoms – so I need your help.
Please, will you make a contribution today and help us in our fight to protect access to reproductive health care?

Decisions about reproductive care should be made by a woman in consultation with her doctor – not by the government. No matter what happens in states next door, I will continue to work to ensure that access to reproductive health care is protected in North Carolina.
Thank you for standing by me as I defend women’s reproductive freedoms. With help from people like you, I know we'll overcome the GOP’s attacks and continue to move North Carolina forward.
