Roe v. Wade has officially been overturned by the Supreme Court, and I will not stop fighting to codify abortion rights into law until I’m dragged out of the chamber. This attack on women, privacy, and our fundamental right to choice is un-American and we will put a stop to it.
Roe established a woman’s right to abortion five decades ago, and the right-wing court has now forced us backward into an oppressive past.
That’s why we must pass the Women’s Health Protection Act immediately, an act I have championed for years.
The fact is, the wealthy and well-connected will always have the ability to seek an abortion, while women who already face barriers to healthcare will suffer the consequences.
